If you have attended our basic classes or already have some yoga experience, our Beginners classes are a perfect way to build a good solid foundation in yoga.
Our aim is for all students to achieve a greater understanding of both yoga postures (asanas) and yoga breathing (pranayama). Classes start with concentration – taking time to settle and focus. This is followed by a varied sequence of postures, and ends with savasana (relaxation). All stages are taught with clear and precise demonstration and instruction.
As practice progresses, students experience many benefits, including a greater awareness of themselves and the ability to simply relax – not as easy as it sounds!
The classes last between 60, 75 and 90 minutes.
I did yoga before but having been taught by Maidstone Yoga Centre teachers for a couple of years now, I feel much stronger both physically and mentally. I love the level of precision, encouragement and warmth that I get here. It’s a real privilege to be taught by you all and I feel truly grateful after every class.
