US researchers studying people with chronic lower back problems found that those who did Iyengar Yoga were better at overcoming pain and depression than those who followed conventional treatments for lower back pain.

I started yoga with the aim of learning focus and relaxation. In the year that's since passed I've gained this and so much more – I feel more confident in myself and am beginning to understand more about my body.
Leo's so good at explaining everything – and so open and friendly too – that I no longer feel like that girl who needs to retreat to the back of the class to hide her failings. Even on a bad day I'll leave class feeling like someone's hit the reset button and whatever it was that was worrying me has somehow been put into perspective by the time spent focussing on the poses.
This is the first time in my life that regular exercise has been a pleasure, rather than something I feel I have to do. Thank you for being so welcoming.
